Over the weekend came word that Brad Arnold, the lead singer, founder, and songwriter of 3 Doors Down passed away at 47. Fuck cancer with a sideways chainsaw. While I wouldn’t consider 3 Doors Down metal, they came across my feeds and hit me just right in the early aughts. So, I figured the best way to honor them was three videos for 3 Doors Down.

This is the first song of theirs that I remember hearing, and it’s still a favorite.

This is a good example of their ballads that always hit me in the feels.

This last one is probably my favorite of their videos. As a commenter stated, “If you weren’t patriotic at the beginning, you would be at the end.” I absolutely loved the understated heroism. Not, “Rah, Rah, America!,” but “These are the people that make this country great.”
