Fucking Hacker Happenings – There is nothing better than waking up on a Sunday morning to emails that not only has my Disney+ account been accessed, but add-ons were charged. Then getting on to find all of my profiles changed and everything is now in Spanish. I had to spend the first hour of my morning fixing and re-securing the account. Then The Wife and I talked. Fuck it, we don’t use Disney that much. Cancel that subscription. IF we need it, we’ll restart under a new account. I FUCKING HATE PEOPLE WHO DO THIS.
Unusual Gift Happenings – Mom and The Brother returned from the Great White North last week, and came down to Ward Manor for dinner. Upon arrival, Mom handed over two jars of beef tallow to The Wife and a Transformer to me. Well, kind of? Let’s just say it’s not a Transformer I would have added to my collection. Mom won it some kind of game or something she does back west. She made a good point upon giving it to me. It’s going into the Grandniece’s toybox up in my office for when the Grandniece does her “puppet shows”.
How The Hell Happenings – Minerva is continuing to integrate into the clowder with mostly good, but sometimes mixed results. She is a kitten, and she is very curious about Ward Manor. She is getting quite adept at finding all the little kitty places she can squeeze into. Including the space behind my monitors on my desk. The first time I didn’t realize she was back there until her little head popped out from under my big widescreen. I don’t know if I was more annoyed that a cat was on my desk or amused at how Minerva managed to get herself back there.
Oh Dear God Happenings – Speaking of Minerva. Long time readers may know that due to shoulder issues, I will often spend part or all of the night sleeping on a recliner we have in the bedroom. Trust me, this is not a non sequitur. Anywhoo, the recliner is in one corner of the bedroom. Not too far is our bookcase with a litter box in the base. This is usually not a problem. Then Minerva enters the chat. Apparently the kitty food we’re giving her results in the most rank poop. As in “wake Derek up from a sound sleep rank.” I will be so happy when the kitty graduates to eating the same food as the rest of the clowder.
Screen Door Happenings – We finally had enough of a cooldown to let The Wife open the front screen door and air out the house. Of course, this necessitated getting another baby gate. The one we normally used was blocking off some kitty-sized crawl space.
