Another strong song off their latest album.

Let’s see. I love Babymetal. I love Sabaton. I love Alestorm. Let’s take the lead singer of Sabaton, have him on a Babymetal song. And just for fun, make it sound like an Alestorm song.

Avantasia is one of my favorite bands, and I love how “punchy” their songs can be.

I’m not a huge Avenged Sevenfold, but I do like some of their stuff.

Someone did a brilliant mashup of Kool and the Gang’s “Celebration” with Quiet Riot’s “Metal Health.” Great way to kick off the new year!

For the end of the year, I have asked The Brother to compile his favorites for 2019. As you can see, his tastes run a little bit different than mine.

Album of the Year

Disillusion – The Liberation

I love Disillusion. Their album Back to Times of Splendor is one of my favorite albums of all time and The Liberation sits right up there as well. I am elated that after a long hiatus, Disillusion return with an amazing album.

The Heavy Stuff

Lots of death metal here… pretty much all forms of death metal, really. I like death metal.
